John Stetson is only aged 1/2 year per label. I thought bourbon had to be aged at least 4 years. This liquid was aged in charred oak barrels that tanned their leather hats in for a year or so. It's very weak, light colored and the taste barely passes for bitter alcohol. You would be better off drinking ginger ale.
