John J Bowman Single Barrel Bourbon

Very light. Orange, almond, vanilla, quite smooth with a nice amount of bite in the finish.

Bought a bottle while visiting Virginia last month. It’s the most fruity bourbon I’ve had. Lots of apple flavors. Reminds me of a semi-tart Apple strudel. I get similar tastes to Weller special reserve. The rye spice is apparent in the Bowman in contrast to the wheat in Weller. Decent mouthfeel with some alcohol burn. I’m really glad to have tried this. If I lived in Virginia, it’d be in regular rotation on my shelf.
