Johnnie Walker 18 Year

A small amount of smoke, butterscotch, rich, dates, toffee and caramel - delicious! Like Johnnie Walker Green but richer, more decadent, a little more bitterness, and a relatively short finish. A tiny amount of water enhances sweetness. This is a deal for an 18 year old scotch and you can share it with people that aren't scotch fanatics given the 40% ABV. Is it designed for peat heads or cask proof seekers? No. But it's really, really good.

smooth but little boring

Damn good, ....damn damn good stuff. Go ahead and be a fan boy of the atypical hard to find single malt stuff and let this one fly by- but wow- every time I pour a glass of JW 18 I’m just so impressed at the mature and delicious flavor profile- and the smoothness is like no other. This whiskey is nicely priced, and nicely done- and as a side note it has one off the coolest bottle designs in the business.
