Reviewed October 30, 2022 (edited October 31, 2022)Nose: powerful for a blended, very pleasant: hazelnuts, caramel, cane sugar, ripe grapes, I do not feel any peat as opposed to what the official note declares: strange because the presence of peat products including the legendary Brora are there. You feel the grain a lot. Palate: sweet with honey, chocolate, baked apples, caramelized peaches, here instead there is a very light peaty that is barely noticeable. All perfectly blended from high quality grain (none other than Cambus, Port Dundas and Carsebridge) in an excellent balance. Final: it is velvety and spicy, it seems very short but in reality a delicious flavor remains in your mouth for a very long time. Very good, easy to drink, and with an amazing finish. In summary, truly "legendary". I see no other option than to give him full marks! In sintesi, davvero “leggendario”. Non vedo altra possibilità che dargli il massimo dei voti! Voto 5,00270.0 EUR per Bottle -

Reviewed June 8, 2021 (edited September 7, 2021)Nose - Ripe orchard fruits, crisp apples, pears, peaches/nectarines, ripe apricots, floral honey, ripe juicy plums, dried sweet apricots, light honeycomb Taste - Rich orchard fruits, dried apples, ripe juicy plums, peaches/nectarines, floral watery honey, light hint of ash at the end, fairly thin mouthfeel Finish - Lingering fruity ash/charcoal, very clean, gentle white pepper tingle, light stone fruit pith bitterness, hint of sea spray Score - 80/100 Final Thoughts - This had a very pleasant nose, delicious burst of orchard fruits on the nose and on the palate. Very faint wisp of ash/smoke from the Lagavulin I presume which is a very very tiny component of this blend. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, so I think there's a fairly high percentage of grain in this one, but I suspect at least it's older grain as I don't get any off putting younger grain notes in this one. Overall it's a very pleasant, easy drinking summer dram I'd say. Best neat as I think any ice or additional water would really hide the subtle flavors. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - No Would I buy a bottle? - No NOTE - All reviews are done without factoring in price.244.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed March 16, 2021 (edited January 11, 2022)Brilliant. One of the best blended whiskies I’ve had. Comparable in quality to Black Art 4.1. Complex nose with a rich vanilla stone fruit palate and a medium long spicy finish ending on a honeyed note. Everything works really well together here. Best of the Blue’s that I’ve had.
