Really good dram. Better value than the Blue (I like the Blue more, however). Complex, not super smooth, medium body and finish. Some peat, smoke, brine, spice, oak, menthol, lemon, some bitter, almonds, etc.
Absolutely delicious! I am a JW fan. Even entry level “Red” is well made and tasty. “Black” too is wonderful and more refined than Red. But “Green” is just top notch, it is so expertly blended and has so much flavor, I love it. Sure JW makes even higher level whiskys like “Blue”. But at a still affordable price point the Green iteration is my favorite. The steep price you pay for Blue just doesnt show up in the glass. Buy some JW Green, you wont regret it. Certainly a sipping whisky.
