Jura 10 Year

Vanilla, cigar box, black cherry, fruit cake.

On the nose: honey, orange, vanilla and smoke. Taste: absolutely disappointing as there's almost no flavour. It's a very closed whisky and adding water to it doesn't help much. I get hints like orange peels, cucumber, glue, smoke. The malt is artificial coloured (added caramel), is chill-filtered and is bottled at 40%. Precisely all the things you DO NOT WANT. Save your money and buy another bottle (from another distillery).

Neutral i smag, lidt røg. En anelse sprittet

Sprittet på næsen, men ikke for meget i munden. Meget begrænset peated, intet i sammenligning med det vi plejer. Noget neutral i smagen, men behagelig, rolig

Slight oak. Something Todd might like.

On the nose and pallet you get a hint of fruit, a nice mild peat smoke and vanilla flavour as well. The smokiness is soft enough to allow the flavours not to be over powered by it, but it enhances those flavours and aromas instead. I also get a hint of orange, chocolate and a mild lupini bean aftertaste on the pallet which is completely different from what I’m used to but not bad at all. I always love a sherry cask finish and this bottle is no exception. Really good, easy to drink.
