Gifted a 50ml mini, 55% ABV, tasting neat.
Nose is earthy cooked agave, spice, sweet vanilla, and ethanol. On the palate, agave and earthy wood, ethanol burn, then caramel, floral, and citrus. Thin. Finish is short with spicy grass, oak, and alcohol.
So at 55% ABV, this is a stronger reposado than normal, and deserves recognition for that. It's industrially produced, but benefits from time in oak. So this is going to mix better than sip due to the high ABV, but from the price Im seeing on a 750ml bottle... that's a really pricy ($60-80) mixer. A case of paying for the ceramic skull bottle (or square ceramic bottle with skull relief).
