Kerrygold Irish Cream
Kerrygold // Ireland
Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur is made in Ireland from cream from grass-fed cows, Irish whiskey, real chocolate, and "Irish spirit." It is made from the same milk used to create the brand's cheese and butter. First introduced in 2014, it is bottled at 17% ABV.
Dairy/Egg LiqueursDairy liqueurs are often made with real milk or cream, but there are “dairy free” options made from almonds, rice, or other vegan options. Whiskey or rum are often used in the base. Egg liqueurs tend to use brandy and sugar in its creation.
"The color of Kerrygold is a medium tan color more akin to chocolate milk. The aroma smells like fresh dairy and chocolate. The palate is creamy with the chocolate coming through nicely and there's a sweetness present, but it's at a moderate level The booze comes through on the aftertaste, but warmingly so which balances the sweetness overall. A pretty good example for this category."
