Kilchoman Machir Bay (2018 Edition)

Peaty with honey, grass, pear. Smooth and easy drinking.

Mine is a 2019 batch. Smoke and peat but some floral, oaky notes from the bourbon and sherry casks it was aged in. Not a long finish and on the lighter side. I still enjoy this.

Gentle peat smoke and citrus, very smooth and sweet on a taste with loads of vanilla. A hint of peat and wood on a finish.

A lot like ardbeg 10 on the nose. Peat, but not heavy smoke, lemon, grass, sea salt, band aids. Taste is similar, light smoke but nice briny, peaty, citrusy notes but also a hint of fruit on the finish and much thicker/oily than ardbeg 10. Excellent islay
