I’m a fan. Peat hits you right away but fades rather quickly - but after the peat fades, it keeps hanging out on the background. Pretty long finish.

Overrated nonsense. This is young, simple, overpriced whisky that's overrated by people eager for new Islay.

Islay peat that overlays a symphony of fig and walnut, with delicate notes of vanilla and heather honey.

Smoky, not medicinal, smooth; fruity notes - de vero isle easy to drink

Nose: Frazzles crisps, BBQ pork, toffee, damp peat, white pepper Palate: Bacon, damp peat, black pepper, dusty, black tea, light orchard/stone fruit, light summer berries Finish: Long finish. More of the damp peat, leather, cocoa and a light saltiness This changes through the layers as you sip - berries, chocolate, leather and pepper, all with the peaty backbone. There's loads going on in this dram. Interesting, layered and tasty. A good dram overall.
