Kinahan's Single Malt 10 Year
Kinahan's // Ireland
Kinahan's was established in 1779 in Dublin on Trinity St. by Daniel Kinahan. Though successful for many years, the brand had to merge with another spirit house in the 1920's before splitting with them in 1988. The brand lay dormant until their resurrection in 2014 on the very street they were first established. This sourced single malt is aged in ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of 10 years.
Single MaltDistilled in pot stills from 100% malted barley, produced at one distillery, aged in barrels; if Scotch or Irish, must be aged for at least three years.
"The aroma is clean and filled with red apples, vanilla, and toasted Grape Nuts cereal. It's a bit peppery hot on the tongue, but the mid-palate is pleasantly assertive with the malt and the finish is likable with a slight mint flavor and light char smoke."
