Reviewed June 12, 2021Relatively smooth but surprising one dimensional for a 23 year whiskey. Beautiful dark chestnut coloring and strong influence of sherry. Not bad for the price point if this is the taste you are going for but many younger age statements with more complexity on the market. -

Reviewed June 2, 2021 (edited December 25, 2022)Nose - Rich dark berries, orange zest, candied ginger, dried cherries/cranberries/blueberries Taste - Dark cherries/blueberries, candied ginger "spice", dark apple juice backbone, dark chocolate, dark cherry juice Finish - Lingering light tingle, lightly tart but still sweet cherry juice, light dark chocolate cherry cordial Score - 86/100 Final Thoughts - So the tasting notes would lead you to believe that this is an absolutely amazing dram and although it's quite good, the flavors come in waves versus being a cohesive whole. This is very tasty overall, great nose, good on the palate, mediocre & kind of short finish. This is good, but for some reason it seems to be lacking something that binds it together. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - Maybe Would I buy a bottle? - Maybe NOTE - All reviews are done without factoring in price. -

Reviewed April 26, 2021 (edited January 26, 2022)Open Date 3/2/2021 Review date 4/26/2021 (after many tastings) Very cheap product. Whoever the buyer is @ Costco got taken to the cleaners by Alexander Murray % Company and obviously has no quality Scotch experience. Very thin on the palate. More like Sherry water than Sherry Scotch. Thin mouthfeel, and unmemorable finish.Waste of $80! I have 3/4 bottle for sale if anybody wants it.
