Kirkland Blended Scotch

It's okay. Better than its price deserves. But still, alittle empty in the body and too light to stand up to cocktails.

Dry, light, ethanol is notable, bitterness, some light wood.

Bad but drinkable

A solid affordable blended scotch. I like it better than dewars and its nice to have on hand for a quick pour after work.

I would compare this scotch to Famous Grouse, Dewars White Label, or Shieldaig Classic. Most bottles I really like cost upwards of $100. Since I drink scotch neat and fairly often, it goes fast, and I can't spend that kind of money. This is a good compromise. Compared to those higher-priced scotches, it doesn't have the brightness, complexity, and subtlety of those scotches, but it is perfectly serviceable. Just make sure to calibrate your expectations. The rating reflects the value, if this cost 100$ my rating would be a whole point lower, and consistent with other ratings.
