Mild maple and vanilla notes on the nose, very bright and fresh smelling. Don’t really have the pallet vocab to describe these types of bourbons but this reminds me of the Basil Haydens I just had. It’s less sweet and more mild with oak/nut notes vs super full sugary brown sugar and maple syrup flavors. Bit of a caramel hard candy sweetness in the middle. A lot of the flavor comes towards the end where it points at the tip of your tongue where it’s more oaky. For the ABV this is a very nice and easy drinker. Deff a good bourbon to show to my bourbon newbies who have never tried bourbon before.
