Very hot up front, but not overpowering. Notes of malted barley and vanillin creep in behind the warmth. Has a creamy butteriness on the palette as toasted vanilla and peppered caramel develop. At 100 proof, I'd recommend a little water or ice to calm down the heat and allow the subtle flavors to come out. As the flavors drift off the palette there is a warming of the bottom of the throat and top of the chest. (Almost has a dusty feel on the finish).
