Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon

Thank Tony for sharing this one. Very good. Sweet vanilla. Wood. Some fruity character in the nose and palate.

City-Wide Liquors store pick, Warehouse Q, Floor 06, Rick 08 Barreled: 10/9/2012, Selected: 11/7/2022, Proof: 120 Ran across this store pick, and decided to finally add a Knob Creek expression to the collection. Their single barrels seem to be well reviewed, and the price was right. These consistently beat out more expensive bourbon's, and actually swayed me from buying a Baker's 7 bottle! Sweetness on the nose, and a caramel, sugary vanilla palate. Medium length, spicy, numbing finish. Drinks it's proof, but doesn't become overwhelming. Purchased: 2/16/2023

Deep caramel color with oak nose. Slightly sweet with a hint of char.

Rating: 3.90/5 Total Wine pick. 9 yr, 11 mo. Nose: Dry cherry, tobacco, heavy oak, peanut. Palate: Really delicious mature palate. Dried cherry and leather follow through on the palate, followed by heavy brown sugar, oak, and that Jim Beam nutty. Very thick and oily mouth feel. Finish: Really long, warming finish. Oily and thick followed by those dark fruits and peanut. Overall: For $55-$65 range these are fantastic and a must buy. The tasting experience of these SiB store picks far outweigh their price point and are a inexpensive way to get into high proof bourbon.

Taste: It hits you with a strong rye spice up front and finishes with vanilla wafers. Pleasant ethanol bite. It has a full creamy body. Look: Amber that leans closer to brown Smell: Oak and vanilla
