Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon

Store Pick: Liquor Lineup #2 Proof: 120 Barrel: Warehouse K - Floor 06 - Rick 035 Barreled: 2/4/2014 Bottled: 8/18/2023 Nose: Vanilla, tobacco, graham cracker and toasted oak. Caramel binds the notes together. Taste: Toasted oak, lingering leather and bits of caramel. Finish: Lots of char and barrel linger with a thick mouthfeel. It delivers a chest warming hug.

Pick: Beverage Barn #3 Nose: pretty light. I think smell fruit. Taste: starts light. Mostly taste oak. Finish: burns on the back end. Water?: Definitely better with a couple drops of water. Get a buttery or syrupy feel to it in a good way.

This is one of my favorite bottles at this price point! Knob Creek is one of my favorite brands as well and everything they make will always be quality!

Fishpaw barrel pick...

The nose is nice and hot, with spices, red fruit, and some toasted oak scents. Surprisingly sipable for the proof, the heat is nice but not overwhelming and sits in the mouth for a good length of time. When the spice subsides, you get a sweetness with vanilla and honey. For $50 bucks, this is a great value.

Nose: classic knob creek with lots of vanilla, butterscotch, baking spice and dried fruit Palate: rich mouthfeel with lots of cinnamon and pepper spice to go with creamed corn Finish: medium to long with the baking spices lingering pleasurable effect
