Reviewed January 21, 2015 (edited May 14, 2015)I smell and taste a lot of the same flavors as in the Laphroaig Quarter Cask, but they're all notably smoother and mellower. Delicious peaty flavors mix with hints of floral notes and stone-fruit sweetness. A damn fine dram! -

The first impression is smoky peat and barbecue smoke, but then it keeps evolving: some herbal notes starts to appear together with citrus notes. A medium and elegant body, with notes of toffee and something that remembers apricot. The finish is rather long and wonderful, maybe as complex as the nose. Amazing whisky.
