Quarter Cask is good, but not nearly as complex as the 10 Year old. It’s definitely on the woody side and has a touch of bitterness on the finish. Nice development of smoke, peat, pepper, vanilla and some coffee notes.

Nose: more vanilla and demurra sugar (bourbon). Oak. Slight brine.
More peat than 10 and Select. Same sweetness as select, which I like. More of a burn than the others. Similar charred smoke. Much spicier taste and nose.
3.5. Would buy. This and select cask are my faves.
Couple drops of water cuts the spice and burn on the nose/palate. Really good like this. Would buy this over select cask with a few drops of water.
