Tastes

Sherry and chocolate nose, cherry chocolate taste. Very smooth. Tastes like chocolate at xmas. Not too sweet and really like it. Would buy. 4.0.

Probably 3.5. Would buy. Like American oak but with the peat. I actually liked that the peat cut the sweetness in the American oak.

4.0 Really good. Sweet with a deep red berry but still summery. Like a raspberry type drink. Still cereal finish. Definitely would buy.

3.75 stars. Pretty good. Similar tasting notes as American Oak but the sherry takes the place of some of the sweet fruit. Still spicy finish. Like it. Not top of my list but good.

3.5. Strong sweet fruit, kinda like melon but not. I can’t figure out what Bit of a burn and same aftertaste.

Very young and alcoholic. Not my cup of whisky. Slight peat/smoke finish.

4 stars for a rye. Pungent smell...motor oil and lemongrass and spearmint. Really like it. One of my favorite eyes. Sweet and citrusy spearmint finish. With a few drops of water, nose is spearmint and lemon grass and tastes likewise. Would buy, def recommend a few drops of water to tone down the booze. Tastes a bit like spearmint gum after chewing a while

3 stars. Nose was lighter than the Rowan creek. Woody caramel. Same flavor and didn’t feel like 101proof. Liked it less with water...more alcohol flavor with a few drops. Maybe would buy. Not as good as willet pot still reserve (but Christi liked it more).
