Reviewed October 19, 2019LAPHROAIG SELECT 40% JUL 2020 CAVEAT THAT THESE ARE OLD OPENED SAMPLE BOTTLES, SITTING AROUND FOR APPROX 3 MONTHS Raisin, creamy, caramel, smokey, delicate 3 Peaty, bitterness, oaky, very delicate taste 1.5 Oaky and slightly bitter smoke 1.5 2 Undil Nosing - sharp fiery, medicinal iodine note. 2 Flavour - smooth, flavourful creaminess, light peatiness, a bit blend, bitterness 2 Finish - soft light peat 2.75 -

Reviewed October 13, 2019 (edited December 31, 2019)Notes of peat, but not overwhelmingly so. Seems like a good intro into a peated Islay scotch. Smoky but doesn’t linger too long. Smooth and flavorful. -
