Laphroaig Triple Wood

Subdued smoke on the nose with more wood notes than the flagship 10 year (weird, right?!). Med/heavy in the mouth, but solid balance between smoke and Sherry influences, smooth with a bit of heat. The finish goes on...and on... Bought this bottle to toast the birth of my boy almost 3 years ago...and it keeps delivering! (No pun intended)

Barbecue, peat, raisin, nut. Harsh palette.

Nose: Oak shavings, wood dust, a freshly cleaned blackboard. Toothpaste. Graphite. Palate: Like licking the wooden parquet floor in the Boston Garden after Larry Bird has played a full, sweaty 48 minutes. Tree bark. Finish: The smoke from a campfire sputtering after a brief spurt of rain.
