Aroma is heavily oaked and I’m oddly not loving it or the way all the other darkly sweet, fruity and spicy notes float under it; Palate comes together in a way that makes me think of alcoholic trail mix; Finish dissipates quickly moving from trail mix to dry oak. It’s not knocking my socks off, but it is perfectly enjoyable, and I’m a tad sad about that…
Nose is great with heavy vanilla, brown sugar, roasted peanuts, and lite corn dust. Smooth caramel, barrel char, burnt sugar, and baking spice on the palate. Great mouth coat and long lasting spice tingle.
For the proof not harsh and more on the sweet side. The more air it gets helps. I recommend let it sit open for a few before drinking.
Deep reddish copper color. The nose is heavy on the ethanol in the beginning. Let it sit for a few minutes and it transforms into a caramel and maple syrup bomb. The palate is hot with caramel dipped red apples, charred cinnamon stick, black pepper, oat bran and oak tannins. The finish is long and hot with a hell of a hug, and more cinnamon stick, oat bran cereal and charred oak.
