Whoa, not the sweetness that I was expecting/hoping for. Instead quite spicy, young dry splintering wood chips. Aggressively dry, small hints of corn bread but hardly worth mentioning. Needs to be said that this is the first pour from my first (and probably last bottle) so no oxygen has been able to mingle inside the bottle. I typically enjoy bourbons more with some time after ‘opening them/up’. I’m sad to say that this is not something I would seek out again. I often suggest regular Larceny to people new to whisky and bourbon but this just doesn’t have the flavor profile that I enjoy.

Much more depth in comparison to the mainstream Larceny. Initial nose and palate of charred wood. A nutty richness and smokiness. Decent bite and lingering alcohol flavor.

This may be the creamiest of all the most recent high proof bourbons that I've reviewed on this site. This is a wonderful spicy candy corn flavored whiskey, and the dry peanut - from the shell - finish keeps me pouring this over and over. The complexity is shallow and finish is medium, which is the only major knock on this bottle. However this may be my new "having a steak" whiskey...stands on its own two feet for a solo pour, and its not too sweet for a wheater. 5.0 - go out and buy all of the stock you can find. 4.0 - must buy at least one bottle before you die. 3.0 - solid, must try at a bar, or mooch from a friend. 2.0 - didn't like it, you may. 1.0 - you may have the palate of my dog, and he licks his own ass.
