Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B523

Hay, honey, walnut, green apple, vanilla and pepper nose. Interesting but nothing crazy. Palate immediately blows the nose out of the water with a depth of orange, oak, leather, caramel, bread pudding, toffee, candied apple and a long red, black and white pepper, mint and cinammon finish. Would pair great with Cajun. These Larceny barrel proof bottles have been some of my favorite pours lately.

Such a beautiful pour. Bright, fruity, full and spicy on the front followed by a sweet and creamy finish.

Nice legs, medium amber color. Nose leads with sweet bread, apple, and cardamom with a little black pepper in the background. Palate is sweet with a touch of fruit and spearmint with pepper lingering at the end. Well balanced, but not outstanding. A good whiskey to introduce someone to barrel proofs.

Bright, nutty nose with a nice wood perfume glazed with caramel, honeycomb and vanilla bean. Round entry on the palate with a semi-heavy mouthfeel. Warm, rich, corn flavor softened by the wheat and given body by the barley. Loads of baking spices, dessert characteristics and an endless toffee-like punch. The finish is long with sweet, cinnamon bun flavors caressing the tongue on the fade. Yet another exemplary release in the Larcent Barrel Proof program.
