When Gordon & MacPhail overhauled their Connoiseurs Choice' collection in 2018, they introduced a entry level range, called 'Discovery'. It acts as an introduction to the independents bottler extensive portfolio, with each expression sitting in one of the flavor profiles of either Sherry, Smoky or Bourbon. This Ledaig has aged for 12 years in bourbon and sherry casks, and was distilled at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.

Tasting Notes
"Signature Ledaig with notes of sauerkraut and ripe bananas, with a whiff of seaweed and vibrant citrus notes. Pretty smokey too, of course. The balance is top notch. The palate is salty with hints of olive brine, but also fudge and mil chocolate. Plenty of peat smoke again, and a nice creamy mouthfeel."
