Loch Lomond 18 Year

I’ve attended a masterclass and tried 12,14,18,21 YO and the best for me in regards to price/quality is 14YO

Storng oak on the front of the nose. Similair on the back but less apparent and with an added hint of vanilla. Heavy peat, oak, and carmel theough the taste.

Deep fruit aroma, mixed with rich wood. Plum or something similar, maybe raisins. Flavor matches perfectly, it's definitely a heavy raisin flavor on top of some oak. Rich, and has that tannin bitterness you'd get from grape skins. Fascinating. The body isn't quite as rich as the flavor but it's still good. Tannins control the tall too. Unique.
