Los Arango Blanco Tequila
Tequila Corralejo // Guanajuato, Mexico
Corralejo Los Arangos Blanco is made from 100% blue agave allowed to mature for at least 8 years and cooked for 36 hours before being double-distilled. The tequila is named in honor of Jose Doroteo Arango Arambula, a national hero and revolutionary general who is perhaps better known by the nickname "Pancho Villa."
Tequila BlancoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is typically unaged , clear, and bottled straight after distillation. Sometimes rested in stainless steel up to 60 days and can also be aged in wood for no more than 30 days.
"This tequila has a pleasant but shy nose of roasted agave and salted pineapple. Unfortunately the palate shows a similar lack of conviction and limps along with fairly unremarkable agave tones. The finish is pleasant and has a slightly spicy kick, but this is a tequila best suited for mixed drinks by the pool not serious sipping."
