Lovell Bros. Georgia Sour Mash Spirits Distilled from Grain
White
Lovell Bros. // Georgia, USA
You have to appreciate the fact that Lovell Bros. could have easily put moonshine or white whiskey on the label, but instead they have decided to let the spirit speak for itself.
Distilled and bottled in Mt. Airy, Georgia from a 150 year old family recipe, this spirit recalls the classic white lightning made in the area during Prohibition.

WhiteDistilled from a cereal mash bill comprised of any grain(s). Generally unaged except in the US, where it must age at least briefly in oak for an unspecified amount of time. Sometimes sold as "moonshine" although that is a misnomer.

Tasting Notes
"Creamed corn, freshly churned butter, white pepper and a bit of alcohol burn show very clearly on the nose. The palate maintains some of the expected alcohol bite, with a surprisingly viscous and oily mouthfeel. A slight sweetness and a bit of pepper before a big, roasted corn flavor. The finish is akin to eating corn on the cob, but perhaps with more depth and complexity. Essentially, this is an unaged white corn whiskey, this spirit provides far more flavor than many of its vodka-like competitors. "
