Nose: earthy, leather (H says new leather), musky, green tea, herbs.
Palate: subtle smoke, slightly sweet, molasses, creamy.
Finish: oaky, not too long, not very sweet.
Really nice and moderately complex.
Lovely lemony yellow pour. Wood fire in a warm country pub on the nose. Smoked salmon. Lemon curd. Smoked kippers on the palate. Salt. A very gentle, meaty smoke. Juniper. Subtle, gentle and Scandinavian. Absolutely superb!
Subtle nose of orange, vanilla and oak, floral notes of smoke, rose & hibiscus; very, very, very smooth. Long lingering caramel & pepper notes. Swedish? Impressive.
Nose: Sweet peat, earthy and herbal.
Palate: The nose sweet, earthy note that is evident on the nose is even more evident on the palate. There’s an added sweet vanilla and a tangy citrus.
Finish: The finish is dry, smoky and ashy. Salt, liquorice and herbs on the medium long aftertaste.
This reminds me of a slightly more vanilla, young Talisker. That’s no bad thing in my book!
