Blended Malt
MacNair's // Scotland
MacNair's Lum Reek Peated Small Batch is a blended malt incorporating peated single malts from both Islay and Speyside as well as aged single malt from GlenAllachie. This no-age statement release matured in a variety of casks including first-fill bourbon, oloroso sherry, virgin oak, and red wine.
Bottled at 46% ABV with no color added or chill-filtration. The name is derived from the Scottish toast: "Lang may yer lum reek" (long may your chimney smoke) which wishes someone a long life and prosperity.

Tasting Notes
"Sweet peat smoke with notes of vanilla, lemon peel, bran and draff, but also a whiff of tobacco, heather and hemp rope. The palate is pleasantly smoky with a touch of charcoal and diesel, but also somewhat salty and with bright citrus zest. A straightforward peated malt that's clearly very balanced, but could do with a little more complexity."
