Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila

I like the front. Complex and smooth. However I am not a fan of the finish. It leaves a funky flavor in your mouth.

Sweet, syrupy

Like Don Julio’s Clara I was hoping for more. Considering it’s made from reposado, anejo and extra anejo it only tastes like a blanco. Brock’s Distiller notes are excellent. I can see where he got each note in his taste profile but all I really get personally is light powdered sugar sweet agave with very lightly roasted caramelization. It also has a grain Vodka type taste mid palate. It’s really not bad but I was really hoping for more flavour. For the price and the light sweet profile I’d take Don Julio’s Blanco over this any day. $75 in Ontario.
