Very spicy but the finish doesn't come off too hot, vanilla and berry flavors most notable on the palate. Very oakey scents open up when allowed to sit momentarily. hint of coconut, rich but not overly so as mentioned in the flavor profile... A fine bourbon suited for a cold night by the fire, won't knock your socks off but not bad, perhaps slightly overpriced

This whisky has quickly earned a top 3 spot in my personal rankings. Sweet, but with a rewarding bite and finish. Enough complexity to keep even experienced whiskey fans engaged.
Getting a lot of smoky wood flavors, with nice caramel flavor in the middle. Love the classic spiciness of Maker's. Still looking for some vanilla notes at the end, but overall a great tasting.
It's got a ton of oak, some spice, and a tartness to it. Very smooth like most of what Maker's puts out. I prefer it over regular Maker's, but like regular, it comes across too thin for my tastes even neat.
I like it, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again as Cask Strength isn't much more and considerably better in both taste and body.
