NAS
$37 in PA
Nose: butter, cream, toasty honey almond, light stone fruit. I’m not getting that typical astringency that shows up on the standard
Palate: buttered toast, almond milk, the apricot is trying to show but muted. Silky feel in the mouth but not as long as I would like. But keeps drawing me back
Finish: short to medium, the weakest part of this bourbon
Overall thoughts.
As a 101 proof wheater for less than 40$ I see it as a great value. I’m not a fan of the original MM so didn’t have a high bar set. I actually really liked this one especially since there is not a great selection of wheated bourbons in PA and for those looking for the wellers look at trying this before buying secondary
