While the first chapter of the series focused on the production process that impacts flavor, this second chapter focuses on the teams behind Maker's Mark. The Heart Release was inspired by the collective taste vision of the distilling team at Maker's Mark Distillery.

Tasting Notes
"The nose has an inviting toastiness with aromas like a spicy chocolate tart — baking spices, malted chocolate, walnut. The aroma and flavor of tart cherries has quite a bit of presence as well, with a generous sprinkling of toasted oak spices, maple sweetness, and cocoa. There's a subtle nutty flavor akin to roasted pumpkin seeds or pine nuts, with vanilla caramel spreading across the medium rich palate and more of that lively tart cherry character. A flicker of spicy heat punctuates the finish. "
