Reviewed June 14, 20260.7 l bottle opened at Tonka's 40th Birthday Party, cheers! Pale brass colour to old gold. Aroma is moderately smokey, underneath banana, vanilla, soft white oak notes, a fruity touch, apricot, pear and white peach. Smooth, potent, warming. Moderately smokey, flavour is bready, malty, sweet bread, some cookie dough, some fruit. Slick and oily. Finishes sweet with a rosemary wood smoke aftertaste. -

Reviewed May 24, 2026Tasted as a flight with Sakura and Mizunara. For some reason this pack is bottled at 43 percent, and they do seem a bit watered down. Nose: Burnt rubber and motor oil. Not particularly inviting. Palate: Machine oil, plaster, but morphs into lapsang souchong tea. Sweetness makes this somehow all work in a strange way. Finish: Short, sweet and oakey. This is probably the weakest of the three. The overworked Dad coming home from a 14 hour shift at the Toyota factory. -

Reviewed March 4, 2023Unremarkable. The Mizunara and Sakura are much more flavorful and enjoyable. Yes, there's peat there but not enough for me to say "peaty" or "smoky". This is a good pour to convert someone from "I hate peat". It is mildly fruity and mildly sweet.Bridges & Bourbon
