Benchmark No. 8 Bourbon

Nose is subtle Up-front is subtle/weak Finish is subtle Not much flavor Would not buy again.

Not great. Light on the nose, but the notes I do pick up smell “off”. Flavor redeems it a little bit though. Still mostly burn on the finish

Nose: Ethanol Significant Carmel Notes Cloves Palate: Cinnamon Molasses Finish: Short — less than desirable aftertaste

Faint hints of caramel and vanilla to the nose initially. Slight peppery/medicine taste with a smoother than expected finish. Not the sweetness I expected from other reviews, but sweeter than better than not bottom shelf choices. Solid price point for what you get. No frills, but if you rotate your selections, you won't tire of this choice occasionally, neat, with a splash, or on the rocks.
