Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

One of the whiskeys I chose for a recent blind tasting. Of the four whiskeys tasted, the panel rated this one 3.7/5 which ended up being our winner (averaged scores). Everyone felt it was an exceptional whiskey, although not worth the $120 price tag.

Terrific nose with almost no alcohol burn. Could smell it all day. Smells like the quintessential bourbon with all notes. Light pepper burn to start, a little fruity with more vanilla and caramel notes later. Sweet mid and after notes, not smokey at all.
