Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Rye

I really can't get into this one. It's fine... spicy, reasonably aged, herbal and malty in the right ways. But it's kind of blah: on higher end for mixing but lower end for sipping.

Sweet, drinks higher proof than 84.8,

A solid rye, one of my go-to beverages that I would reccommend to anyone. Tastes like good whiskey.

Aroma: Definitely could smell citrus, vanilla, little bit of rye notes coming from the back. Oak notes start to dominate. With a touch of sweet corn. Palete: Has a good taste with vanilla, spices and oak. Rye notes start to rise. It is surprisingly smooth for a rye whiskey, and I love mine on ice which makes it even more smooth. As the ice melts it brings out the oils and makes it like dark velvet made out of toffee. Finish: Long lingering, with overtones of citrus and oak. This one is definitely a go to, and probably one of my favorites for now .
