The spice is expanded from the nose- encompassing fennel, all spice, clove, and cinnamon on the palate. The sweetness has increased depth from the vanilla and toffee of the nose, rounding out with creme brulee, butterscotch, and barley sugar.
The finish is lengthy and complicated, lingering well after the swallow with a delightful warming effect and gentle white pepper spicing up at the end.
