Michter's US*1 American Whiskey

very rounded and good mellow flavor. great sipping bourbon.

I’ve waited a long time to try this as heard good things but I’ll be honest I was underwhelmed Nose was waxed oranges and some peanut brittle Palate is spice and wood. Reminded me of a rye in some respects. Not much else happening Finish was short and continued wood and spice None of the usual tastes and smells u get from a good bourbon. Is this because of the untraditional approach?

I get coco and oak not a lot of sweetness but it works. I saw someone said the was better than michters 10 that’s why I had to try it. Not even close.
