Reviewed March 14, 2021 (edited March 23, 2021)Nose - The peat and the chocolate malt have a nice mix here, with both combatting one another for a smoky sweet medium. Reminds me of being at a petting zoo. Haley’s nosing was “it’s like a mechanic in a carpet store”. Taste - I know chocolate malt doesn’t include chocolate, but there’s definitely chocolate notes here, with a hint of smoke. The after taste is exactly the same as if I just finished a bowl of cocoa pebbles. Finish - Definitely a bit more burn than the others from Motor City tonight, but in a good way. It barely lingers, but you feel a bit more numbness on the side of your tongue. Score - 3.5 Scoring Legend 5.0 - Near perfect, there is something truly special about this whisky. 4.5 - Amazing, will always try to keep a bottle of this in my collection (if feasible). 4.0 - Very Good, maybe only one minor nitpick about the whisky keeping it here. 3.5 - Good, quite enjoyable to drink. 3.0 - Solid, wouldn't go out of my way to get it. 2.5 - Meh, still drinkable. Under 2.5 - If you have a bottle of this, start cooking with it instead.55.0 USD per BottleMotor City Gas Whiskey Distillery -
