Naked Malt

For the price, and being blended, lives up to the descriptor on the bottle and in this app. Nice malty sweetness and remarkably smooth! Nice!

Nose: Buttery with a little bit of boiled/stewed pears or apples. Palate: Very Sweet- Baked Fruits (Couldn't pinpoint which ones unfortunately, (it's either a bit of an enigma, or more likely I can't correctly articulate what I taste), brown sugar, honey, and a slight bit of oak on the finish. Finish: Finish is short, Oak is more prevalent in the finish; but generally same flavours continue. In my case needed water to open it up. Very easy and enjoyable drink

It’s ok, but I like monkey shoulder better and cheaper.

Nose is all hot buttered toast. LOADS of butter. Some brown sugar as well. Hint of dried fruit Palate: caramel popcorn and some fresh red fruit Finish: hint of mossy peat, white pepper, juicy fruit gum For the price, this is a great buy. Good malt blend. Cheaper than Johnnie Green and same quality. (Update Dec 2023: raise this to a 4. Amazing flavor and aroma for an affordable malt blend. Rich and sweet. A little rough around the edges but good stuff)

On the nose, a bit of butter, caramel and alcohol. On the tongue, astringent honey, pepper and a nice warm burn in the back. Solid dram.
