Reviewed September 21, 2021I usually prefer bourbon, but had to have some while in Nashville. Pretty intense bite at the finish, but enjoyable for a night cap -

Reviewed July 24, 2021 (edited August 5, 2022)Runs hot but doesn't really have any of the unpleasant white lightning/moonshine flavors, probably owing to the charcoal filtering which is what separates a Tennessee whiskey from bourbon. Quite a bit of rye spice, maple wood smoke, caramel, vanilla buttercream, cinnamon, basil, baked apples, heavy charcoal dust, creamed corn, dried/mild plantains hang in the background and on the finish. Nicely balanced flavors and overall not bad. Improves with oxidation. Their Belle Meade bourbons are much better. Would recommend Russell's 10yr, Old Forester 1897, Michter's.30.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed July 9, 2021 (edited March 1, 2022)Nose - Sweet, charred wood. Light caramel or vanilla but nothing else really going on. Palate - Classic Tennessee Whiskey flavor profile with a touch of heat. Vanilla, Caramel, and cinnamon are all present. Plantains are slightly there but not sweet enough to be banana. Finish - Sweet heat, but the heat isn’t too harsh.
