Unexpected initial taste note. Doubt oak but seems like oak. 2nd sip was better

This is my second pour of this bottle, on the nose I get a bit of baking spice, maybe cardamom. The taste has a strong carmel notes then a subtle spice and toasted note on the backend. The finish is a decent length, not short. As the finish tappers of there is almost astringent taste which is unpleasant.

Not my favorite. Rough. Slight notes. Not sweet
