New Riff 4 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

Dark fruit, a bit of spice, full bodied. Good drinker.

I was very surprised by the nose. never smelled anything like it. nose is of berries, taste is sweet with a little spice. goes down smooth despite barrel proof, very smooth

Nose: oak barrel char, strong alcohol scent, hot cinnamon, leather, vanilla, candy-corn, and brown sugar. Taste: Much like the nose. Charred oak barrel, some subtle chocolate, spices, cinnamon, leather, buttery caramel, tobacco. Interestingly, the candy-corn and vanilla play a key part together for the sweet side, while the other notes help give the strong alcohol a dynamic kick on the other side. Finishes with that lovely charred barrel and spices. Overall, has an excellent spicy character and such a great collection of different notes on the palette and finish.
