New Riff 4 Year Single Barrel Rye

An excellent rye that I’d describe as “rich caramel  someone lit on fire”, taking all the positives from that. Side note, made a whiskey-redbull with it (typically would never recommend for its price) but it was incredible.

New Riff Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey [Barrel # 21096] is an outstanding, intense, Bottled-In-Bond Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey by New Riff Distilling in Kentucky crafted with a mash bill 100% rye (5% malted) aged for 4 years in American white oak barrels; before being bottled at 114 Proof. It has an aromatic birth of grain, wood, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich& bold life adds notes of cherry cordial, mint, brittle toffee, Snickers Bar, Jamaican Jerk seasoning mix & dark pumpernickel bread; that led to a long & warm death with notes of pepper, oak, rye spice, cinnamon, ginger, cardamon & clove. Excellent. 100% rye with that dill and floral vibe, but also super sweet.
