A complex, Aged Gin by Oliver Ullrich & his wife Iris Menne-Ullrich founders of Liquid Spirit Distillery in Switzerland. It starts with their core, award-winning Swiss Blended Gin at 43% ABV. It is made from 18 botanicals: juniper, barberry, laurel fruit, citrus, orange peel, fresh grapefruit, cardamom, hay flower, clover blossoms, bee balm, verbena, hyssop, Camomile, black currant leaves, orris root, carline thistle root, galangal & licorice. It is then rested in barrels that previously held Barolo & Cocchi Vermouth. It has an aromatic birth with notes of sultanas, dried basil, fennel, lemon, citrus zest & maple syrup; while a fresh & complex life adds notes of flowers, mint, juniper, cinnamon, dried summer berries, dried fig & wet grass; that led to a crisp & tart death with notes of oak spices & raspberry.
