Novo fogo single barrel 207 cachaça

Cachaça tasting with some buddies. My first experience with this beautiful liquor. Tried to take notes of my impressions as I was sampling. Vanilla and oak, quite bourbon like, warm, sweet, honey, spicy and a medium finish.

After additional sips and side by side tastes with their Tanager, I've decided this one is smoother and better. Very similar flavor profile to me but this one replaces the strong cinnamon flavor with coffee and baking spices. Very delicious

I'd say the tasting notes online are very correct when it comes to the flavors of this. Not as hot as their Tanager cachaça but also not quite as good in my opinion
