Oaklore Straight Rye Whiskey

A balanced, grain-to-glass Straight Rye Whiskey by Oaklore Distillery in Piedmont, North Carolina crafted with a mash bill of 70% rye, 20% corn & 10% malted barley that is aged for more than 7 years in new charred American white oak barrels before being bottled at 92 proof. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grains, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & creamy life adds notes of rye cereal, honeycomb, caramel & candied agave; that led to a warm & spicy death of medium length with notes of oak, pepper, fresh dill, toasted marshmallow & citrus zest.

Big entry of rye spice and oak followed by creamy wave of vanilla and berries with a medium-short finish of more rye spice and clove.
